Julie Gilbertson

Julie is a 25 year resident of NE Minneapolis and a 40-something yard and garden enthusiast. She credits her mother for ingraining her “outside the box” mentality. Having spent 18 years working in the Electrical and Machine Sales field, she has acquired the mechanical aptitude that allows her to develop various ideas and execute them right in her own yard. Often, visitors will note Julie’s tiny house. She tells them, all the better, this allows her to dedicate the balance of her yard to unique and therapeutic gardening techniques. She is a rain barrel fanatic and is compost clever. She joined the Metro Blooms board in 2009, is a member of the Blooms Day planning committee, and chair for the 2010 garden evaluation and recognition.
